Marcela Martinez (Aabdelmasih) - Hi, I am Marcela, Im from Mexico city, and 3 of my 4 grandparents were from Lebanon, the other one was from Spain, my original last name, was Abdelmasih, but when my grand father came to Mexico, mexican people, didnt understand his last name, so they changed into Martinez, in México we use 2 last names, and the other is from Spain, (Domínguez), thats why I dont have a libanesse last name. I'm studing at this moment at college Business Administration carrer, I would like to meet people who came from Lebanon! En español: Hola, soy Marcela, vivo en la ciudad de México, 3 de mis 4 abuelos eran libaneses, el 4° era español, mi apellido original era Abdelmasih, pero cuando mi abuelo llegó a México, las autoridades mexicanas no entendieron el apellido, y lo cambiaron a Martínez, en México se acostumbra usar 2 apellidos, el otro es de mi abuelo español, (Domínguez), es por eso que no tengo apellidos libaneses. William Michael Saleebey - I am a 60 year old Lebanese-American living in Central Los Angeles. All four of my grandparents were born in Lebanon, but I never learned Arabic. My mother's maiden name is Skaff, and her mother's was Gannam. I hold a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA, and teach at the University level. I also am involved in sales for a company called American Relocation & Logistics, which provides commercial relocation services worldwide. I have never been to Lebanon, however feel a strong affinity to the culture and cuisine. I am unique in that all four of my grandparents are from Lebanon. I have two sisters, Arlene and Barbara (deceased), and three children, Rose, Billy, and Colin. I am looking for descendents of Salem Gannam and Kouny Syiek Gannam, particularly the grandchildren of Tamam, Carmy, Afeefa, Selma, Fouad, and Saleem.
