Suzanne Khattar - My parents migrated from Qnat, North Lebanon in the late 1970s to Australia. I am currently teaching students with special needs and hope to one day teach english to children in countries such as Brazil and Colombia. Among many great things that came out of Lebanon- Khalil Gibran was the greatest. Ever since reading The Prophet, I have seen and continue to see the world in a different way. "Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul. If either your sails or your rudder be broken, you can but toss and drift, or else be held at a standstill in mid-seas. For reason, ruling alone, is a force confining; and passion, unattentended, is a flame that burns to its own destruction. Therefore let your soul exault your reason to the height of passion, that it may sing; And let it direct your passion with reason, that your passion may live through its own daily resurrection, and like the phoenix rise above its own ashes".Teacher Sydney, NSW, Australia Qnat - 1981 - http://leb.net/gibran/ ( disclaimer) Record Last Updated on May 1st, 2008 Record Created on October 5th, 2001

Antoine Richard Rizk - I came to Sydney when I was 9. I have been able to establish myself well here. The values, morals and traditions of our culture have become a valuable asset for me and I'm sure those that are outside Lebanon. I treasure these dearly. I completed a B Commerce at The University of Sydney and am studying for my CPA. Also, Gibran is my favorite. His accurate words of wisdom are timeless.
I have worked in Asia and all over Australia, I have now settled back into a steady family life in Sydney.Commercial Manager, Metcash Australia Sydney, Australia Beirut (Bouchriyeh) - 1979 Record Last Updated on May 1st, 2008 Record Created on April 20th, 2002
