Imad Boutros Jouby - I'm originally Lebanese, born in Beirut on June 9th 1971... I grew up in Jounieh-Haret Sakhr. I attended St-Joseph school Antoura where I graduated from in 1989. I majored in Chemistry at AUB, and then shifted university to LAU... until my graduation. I left Lebanon in 1995 for the States to study Chemical Engineering at Ohio University. In December 1997, I came to the Dominican Republic to work as a regional director for a canadian company in Textile chemical Business. In year 2001, I bought the company I worked for and established my own company "JOUBY WORLDWIDE CHEMICALS, INC." in the free zone of PISANO, Bldg.11, in Santiago... Where I live actually. I became Dominican national in April 2003, by the way... Got married in 1998 and got divorced in 2006. I have No kids so far. Today, my company is unique in its infrastructure as a major textile chemical manufacturer and supplier in the D.R... We sell our base and formulated products nationally as we do also export them to many other companies... If anyone still remembers me and would like to write, please feel free to do so. Oussama (Sam) Halim Barbar - Oussama Halim Barbar was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1962, attended the International College (IC) and graduated in 1980. He continued his education at the American University of Beirut (AUB) where he studied two (2) years of pre-medicine(public health / epidemiology & Bio-Statistics).
He came to the United States in 1983 where he attended Northeastern University (NU) in Boston, Massachusetts and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering in 1988. He is currently pursuing his MBA in International Business and Finance at Northeastern University.
Oussama is the co-Owner and co-Founder of Environmental Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), an environmental and geotechnical engineering firm based in Houston, Texas with a branch office in Dallas, Texas. In 1997 Oussama was nominated, selected and honored as the “Entrepreneur Of The Year” by the International Who's Who Of Entrepreneurs. In 1999, 2001 and 2002, Oussama led the company to receive the Houston 100 award, as one of the fastest growing companies in Houston with an average total growth of over 600%.
Oussama is the co-founder of the International Orphans Foundation (IOF), a non-profit organization dedicated to helping orphans in Lebanon and the United States. He is also the Founder and President of the Barbar Investment Group (B.I.G).
Oussama is a Licensed Consultant by the State of Texas and certified by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US-EPA). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ACSE), the National Association of Environmental Professionals (NAEP), an active member of the Mayor of Houston Advisory Board for International Affairs and Development – Middle East and North Africa (MABIAD-MENA) and the Mayor's Arab-American Community Affairs Committee (AACAC).
Oussama is a member of the Houston Council of Environmental Companies (HCEC); American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL); American Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Council; a member of the President’s Circle of the Arab American Institute (AAI); and an active member of the World Affairs Council.
