leb.org has always maintained an apolitical stand, welcoming members from all edges and remaining neutral in face of political events.
But today, it's not about politics. It is war and there's no staying out of it.
Lebanon is under siege:
Regardless of what your political beliefs are, Lebanon is being destroyed at the time you read this. And there is one thing you can do to help cease the fire: you can make your voice heard against the disaster that's being forced upon us.
Scream your indignation and call for a cease-fire.
At a horrible time like this, we need to stand together and react. Only by showing how united we are, will we be able to achieve massive sensibilization and help Lebanese children have a future. Help Lebanon. Support Lebanon.

Israel zerstoert den Libanon. Dazu hat es kein Recht.
Kinder, Frauen, unschuldige Zivilisten werden bei israelischen Angriffen getoetet. Ganze Familien werden aus ihren Heimatdoerfern vertrieben.
Bruecken, Strassen, Flughaefen, Haefen, Autobahnen, Elektrizitaetswerke und Kommunikationsnetzwerke werden zerstoert. Das ganze Land ist von der Aussenwelt abgeschnitten.
Wir Libanesen sind traurig, wir leiden, wir sind zornig, wir sind entschlossen und bereit, gemeinsam daran zu arbeiten, unsere Nation zu erhalten.
Israels Inititative ist eine unfaire, unverhaeltnismaessige kollektive Bestrafung, die dem Libanon aus falschen Gruenden zugefuegt wird: was jetzt passiert geht weit ueber den Streitpunkt des Gefangenenaustausches hinaus.
Der Libanon ist verzweifelt: was ihn getroffen hat ist eine humanitaere und wirtschaftliche Katastrophe.
- wir rufen auf zu einem sofortigen Waffenstillstand unter der Aufsicht der UN,
- wir rufen auf zur Herstellung der Souveraenitaet der Regierung ueber das gesamte libanesische Territorium in Kooperation mit der UN,
- wir rufen Sie zur Hilfe auf, Druck auf Israel auszuueben seine Angriffe zu beenden.
Helfen Sie uns, dies so bald wie moeglich zu erreichen.
Damit der Libanon ueberlebt. Der Libanon wird ueberleben.
