Tammy Maroon - All four(4) of my Grandparents (Sittoo & Jiddoo) were born in Lebanon: Laya Maron (my Maternal Sittoo) was born in Sabba, married at 13 to Solomon Azar (an older gentleman) and they lived in Jezzine. She had 2 children, Carrie (1901) and Karam (1903). When her husband died, she came to America (Waterville, Maine) and remarried Said Boutros (Charles Peters), my Jiddoo, who was also from Jezzine. She had 7 more children one of which was Najla-my Mother. My Paternal Grandmother, Shums (Sada) Razouk came to America when she was 9 years old, with her Uncle Ameen Razouk. She met and married my Grandfather, Hannah Maroon (he was born in Saidon). She was 19 and he was 29. They settled in Old Town, Maine. My Jiddoo was a Millhand and they had their first 3 children; Thomas, (then, a boy who died shortly after birth), then my Father, Elias. They moved to North Vassalboro, Maine and had 2 more children; Michael and Mary Yazmine.
