Jay L. Bassila - I am Lebanese-Canadian living in Montreal. Married with two beautiful children. My family is spread throughout Lebanon, the Middle-East, Africa and North-America. My family is amongst the first Beiruti families on record. The origins of our name hail from the Mediterranean basin, possibly Italy or Greece. I attended school at La Sagesse in Beirut and university at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. I majored in Economics & Finance. Although I am heavily involved in the insurance industry, real-estate and fine foods, wine and winemaking is my true passion. I co-own a winery in Canada, specialising in Icewines, late-harvest and fortified wines. Making wine maybe easy, but making good wine is not.
