Eduardo Casals Namura Namura - I am descendant of a Maltese who arrived in Portugal by 1800. In my researches I could find out that the first Namura in Malta arrived there by 1650, most probably coming from either Syria or Lebanon. Is it true that in Lebanon there is a very popular sweet called Namura? If so could I have the respective recipe? I believe that the Namura where original from the Syrian City Oalmyra and that by 1650 they went to the coast of Lebanon and one of them went to Malta. How do you write Namura in Lebanese? Is there anybody who could give me more details about the story of the Namura Family? Are there still Families with this surname? Addresses? Thanks.
